super sized

blazer and shoes, ZARA. bustier tank, WILFRED. jeggings, JOE'S. bag, CHANEL.
photos by Rosanna

This was the outfit I wore to the Aritzia fashion show last week. Saw many variations of this bustier tank on the runway and the best part about it is that it comes in an assorted colours and styles. I was looking for an exaggeratedly oversized blazer so I purposely bought this one two sizes up and now it makes me wonder what took shoulder pads so long to make a comeback. Just finished packing for LA and now heading to the airport. Can't wait to share my trip when I get back! Have a lovely week :) xx.

fall for fashion

Was at the Aritzia fashion show on Thursday and I must say, me and my fellow bloggers went home with quite a few inspirations in mind, along with a very generous goodie bag :) Saw a lot of carrot pants/trousers, feminine silk blouses, open back body-hugging dresses, shoulder-padded boxy blazers, and over-sized clutches on the runway [all that I love!]. J'adore the second last outfit the most with the combination of high-waist, bustier, and long grandpa cardigan!

blank minded

photos by Rosanna

It has been an amazing week of birthday celebrations filled with laughter, good food, and most importantly, great company. That's why I haven't had the time to go out and shoot this weekend so these pictures I took at Iona Beach earlier this month will have to do for now. Only 2 more days till my 2x birthday!

faith is like love: neither can be forced

t-shirt and shoes, ZARA. skirt, SILENCE AND NOISE. watch, MICHAEL KORS. jewelery, TIFFANY & CO, CLUB MONACO, H&M, and FOREVER 21. unlabeled bag.

I know I've worn this t-shirt before but its versatility just amazes me. I tend to drive away from graphics but this top is definitely an exception that goes straight to my list of summer favourites. This skirt is slightly out of my character as I haven't owned anything this bright with such a wide spectrum of colours for as long as I can remember; yet, I like the fact that it reminds me of retro-looking curtain patterns. July has been pretty sweet to me thus far :) First, the weather heats up in Vancouver and I must say, I'm a much happier person under the sun - I think I might be mildly diagnosed with SAD. Then, fashforward was featured in Couture Magazine, which I am still ecstatic about!

Countdown: birthday in 8 days
LA in 16 days

fashforward listed as Couture Magazine's Fav5 Blogs!

Fashforward chosen as Fav5 Blogs of the week? I am still in disbelief that my blog has been named one of five favorite fashion blogs of the week by Couture Magazine, an awesome online fashion magazine sharing great fashion and beauty news [given that I am fairly new with only less than a handful of followers at the moment]. Thanks for the love, Couture Magazine! This is absolutely the best pre-birthday present :) xo.

childhood love

dress worn as top, H&M. pants, AMERICAN APPAREL. blazer, FOREVER 21. vintage bag, CHANEL. vintage belt, MOSCHINO. jewelery, HIMATSINGKA and H&M.

So, these are the American Apparel pants I posted about earlier and I must say, they are the most comfortable pair of pants I've ever owned. However, they do wrinkle really easily [even simply just by bending down]; otherwise, they are pretty perfect for summer :) It should be hitting up to 27 degrees this coming week in Vancouver and I just can't wait! I used my mini red Chanel for the first time in awhile merely because it sustains nothing more than just my iphone. Even after 20 years, this purse still makes a perfect accent piece to any outfit. Chanel is truly the definition of class and classic.
